What We Do
TheatreStarz and TheatreBugz began in 2003 as Upstage, and re-branded to TheatreStarz and TheatreBugz in 2017. We have performed many times in beautiful venues such as The Merlin and Library Theatres. We write, direct and choreograph our own pantomimes, performed entirely by your children – and they are FANTASTIC. We strive to continue to give your amazing children the confidence and the opportunity to perform more often and in different venues.
TheatreBugz
Especially for our younger members, TheatreBugz is 45 minutes worth of fun and learning. We dance, sing, act, mime and have lots and lots of laughs. We will hold special sessions when parents can come and see what we do. We also have our own special mascot – Lola Ladybird. There’s even free tea and coffee for the grown ups.

Especially for children aged 6 to…. Well actually, whenever they decide to leave us. Our classes use dance, drama and song to provide our members with core fundamental theatre craft skills to perfom in live theatre, with the added benefits of confidence building, team building and performance experience. We don’t take exams. All children will be involved in every production. Every now and then we arrange special ‘guests’ to come along and show us something different. In the past we’ve held face painting days, street dancing teachers, Zumba teachers, craft days, stage fighting (no worries, all completely safe). We organise trips to see other shows too.
